We are only a few days away from the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S24 , and most of the details of the device have already been leaked. We are still waiting for more news to arrive and today we are getting around the Snapdragon brand for the Galaxy for the Galaxy S24 series and the Samsung Exynos 2400 SoC that powers the Galaxy S24 and S24 Plus in some regions. Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy vs Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 According to a new leak from Winfuture , referring to the official data sheet, Samsung will release the Galaxy S24 series in some regions (such as the US) with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC , but with the "for Galaxy" label.
The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Fax Lists the Galaxy is said to have a slightly higher maximum clock speed of 3.39 GHz compared to the 3.3 GHz of the regular version of the SoC. On the other hand, the two clusters of Cortex-A720 cores are said to run at 2.9 GHz and 3.1 GHz, compared to the higher 3 GHz and 3.2 GHz in the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. Cortex-A520 cards are also said to be present in the branded version. "for Galaxy" SoC reaches a maximum of 2.2 GHz, compared to 2.3 GHz in the usual 8 Gen 3. There may also be additional differences between the two versions. The performance impact remains to be seen, although we expect it to be minimal given the final changes in top clock speeds.
Exynos 2400 for Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus in Europe In Europe, the leak confirms that Samsung will release the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24 Plus with the Exynos 2400 SoC. The leak further details that the Exynos 2400 will reach a maximum of 3.2 GHz on the original core, 2.9 GHz and 720 GHz on the two clusters of Cortex-A2.6 cores and 520 GHz on the Cortex-A1.95 cores. Across the board, these numbers are lower than the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, and further differences in SoCs could widen the gap between them. The report suggests that despite the difference in clock speeds, there is only a 3-5% difference in performance between the Snapdragon and Exynos models.
